Tastezy Return Policy

At Tastezy, we specialize in fresh, small-batch, artisanal, and perishable food products handcrafted by local women micro-entrepreneurs and home chefs. Because of the delicate and perishable nature of our items, our return policy is strictly designed to ensure food safety while protecting the livelihoods of our small-scale creators.
1. No Returns Based on Subjective Taste
Food is an inherently personal experience, and regional cooking styles or seasonal ingredients naturally vary from kitchen to kitchen.
- Taste Preferences: We do not accept returns, replacements, or balance credits if you simply do not like the personal taste, spice level, texture, or aroma of a product.
- Batch Variations: Handcrafted, home-cooked items do not have industrial, machine-made uniformity. Minor visual or flavor variations between batches are completely natural and are not accepted as grounds for a return.
2. Eligible Grounds for a Return
A return or replacement request will be evaluated and accepted by the independent vendor only and explicitly under the following circumstances:
- Objective Spoilage: The product arrives visibly spoiled, moldy, decayed, or unfit for human consumption at the exact time of delivery.
- Physical Transit Damage: The product packaging or container was severely cracked, shattered, or breached during delivery, causing the food to leak or become exposed to external contamination.
- Incorrect Item Dispatched: The vendor mistakenly delivered a completely different item or variant from what was specified on your order confirmation.
3. Strict Return Windows & Mandatory Proof
Because fresh food deteriorates quickly, time is of the essence. Return requests submitted after these strict windows will be automatically rejected:
- Perishable Essentials (Fresh Curd, Junnu, Fresh Sweets, etc.): Must be reported within 3 hours of delivery.
- Semi-Perishable Items (Pickles, Podulu, Snacks, Sourced Oils, etc.): Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
How to File a Return Request:
To initiate a return evaluation, please email official@tastezy.in or use the in-app support panel to submit:
- Your unique Order ID.
- High-resolution, unedited photos showing the clear issue (e.g., visible mold, broken seal, incorrect product label).
- A brief unboxing video if the package arrived completely leaked or structurally crushed.
Important Note: The independent vendor holds full A-to-Z responsibility for examining the submitted evidence and validating the claim. Once the vendor confirms objective spoilage or packing error, a replacement or refund will be authorized.
4. Reverse Logistics & Product Disposal
- Perishable/Spoiled Items: For food safety and hygiene reasons, vendors will rarely ask you to ship spoiled or leaked food items back. Once your proof is verified, you will be instructed to safely dispose of the spoiled item, and a replacement or refund will be processed.
- Incorrect Items: If a non-perishable, sealed item was sent incorrectly, the vendor may coordinate a courier pickup. The item must remain completely unopened, unused, and in its original packaging to qualify for a return exchange.
5. Platform Intermediary Limitation
Tastezy operates strictly as a digital marketplace connecting buyers with independent local sellers. Tastezy does not manufacture, package, or store any food products and cannot directly accept, process, or enforce a return without the vendor's explicit verification. Any disputes regarding a return must be directed entirely to the respective vendor responsible for the order.
