1. Absolute Vendor Responsibility (A-Z Fulfillment)
Tastezy operates strictly as a digital marketplace intermediary connecting customers with local home-chefs and micro-entrepreneurs.
- End-to-End Vendor Liability: The independent vendor listing the product holds absolute, sole responsibility for everything related to shipping preparation from A to Z.
- Packaging and Security: The vendor is entirely responsible for utilizing food-grade, leak-proof, and structurally secure packaging suitable for transit to prevent any spillage or contamination.
- Freshness & Quality Control: The vendor must ensure that perishable items are packed at the appropriate temperature and dispatched exactly as described in terms of weight, quantity, and freshness.
- Logistics Handoff: The vendor is solely responsible for accurately assembling the package and handing it over to the designated delivery partner within the specified preparation window.
2. Tastezy Platform Intermediary Limitation
- No Physical Handling: Tastezy does not own warehouses, nor do we store, pack, handle, or physically transport any food items listed on the platform.
- Zero Shipping Liability: Because shipping execution depends entirely on the independent vendor and third-party logistics partners, Tastezy assumes no liability for transit delays, spills, packaging structural failures, or damaged food items during delivery. Any claims or legal issues arising from shipping faults must be directed solely and exclusively to the respective vendor.
3. Shipping Charges and Prepaid Delivery
- No Cash on Delivery (COD): As a strict platform rule, all orders must be fully prepaid online at checkout. Delivery partners will not collect cash under any circumstances.
- Fee Calculation: Shipping and handling fees are calculated automatically based on the distance between the independent vendor's kitchen and your specified delivery address, as well as the total package weight. All fees are clearly displayed before final payment confirmation.
4. Delivery Timelines and Perishable Handling
- Estimated Timelines: Delivery times provided at checkout are structural estimates based on the vendor’s required preparation time and real-time courier availability.
- Perishable Urgency: Because our marketplace specializes in fresh foods, short shelf-life sweets, and local dairy essentials, customers must ensure someone is available to receive the package immediately upon arrival.
- Failed Deliveries: If a delivery fails because the customer provided an incorrect address, invalid landmark, or was completely unreachable via phone, the package will be disposed of for food safety reasons. No re-delivery attempts or refunds will be issued in these scenarios.
5. Force Majeure (Unpredictable Delays)
- Neither the independent vendor nor Tastezy shall be held responsible for delivery delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control. This includes extreme weather events (such as heavy seasonal rains), traffic gridlocks, political disruptions, public strikes, or unpredictable logistical road blocks.
